ALPA Working Groups (WGs) are charged with leading program activities in their respective areas and contributing their expertise toward shared projects, with guidance from the Steering Committee. Each WG shall appoint a chair or two co-chairs from its members, who will serve on the ALPA Steering Committee as the group’s representative. Responsibilities of the chair are to convene the group’s meetings, set and share agendas, report progress and communicate questions to the Steering Committee, and coordinate the work of the group with the support of the Steering Committee. Members of working groups are expected to attend the group’s regular meetings and actively support the group’s initiatives.
Working Group chairs will agree to participate on the Steering Committee for a two-year term, ending on June 30 of each year. Terms may be renewed at the discretion of each group. An additional working group, Summit Planning, operates as needed to plan and conduct the ALPA Annual Summit. The Vice-Chair of the Steering Committee will organize this working group in the months of July and August to begin preparations for the next year’s Summit.
